Our Mission

One Birmingham was created to provide a unified voice for community organizations. We are dedicated to developing the City Birmingham around the core areas of education, community improvement, public safety, economic development and reenergizing the city’s image. We will accomplish these goals by:

·         Exploring the core issues with the community and our leaders who have the ability to move the metropolitan Birmingham area in a new positive direction;

·         Examining with our members the positions and plans to address these issues; and

·         Educating the public through community issue forums and events which provide opportunities for the broader community to be informed about the directions that leaders would like to take the area.

With these clear positions from our organizations, One Birmingham can use its considerable connections to support as well as to hold accountable community leaders who share our values and support our issues.
